Mate Edward had me in fits, you cupping your hands through the chemist window, couldn’t stop laughing. For someone who has never clucked, but seen my brother and mates go through the clucking horror, the walk back to dartford must of been a nightmare. Gonna forward you’re storys on to many people. Brilliant. Skin and Tonic

Hello Skin Ska/Tonic - sharing would be excellent and much appreciated. I nearly wrote about the walk home, but I think there's a future short about 'The Walks Home' - The walk home from The Met Bar on park Lane after Jo Guest blew me out, The walk home on this one, and probably not that surprising, many more. But yes, hideous, I collapsed several times, puked a bit, quite a lot slipped out of the back door too. The worst bit of course is knowing there's nothing on arrival, and I'm just going to climb the walls for eight hours until I can score. Or did I? Thanks again.

Part 1 done and dusted, anyone who is offended by the storylines is missing the point, these people are human too, despite the mechanical and physical additions, removals and general spastications.

Part 2.

Boo Ya.

Hello Ian - yes, I made a similar comment to Matt D - if anyone's having the piss taken out of them in these stories I would hope it's clearly me. Glad you got through it. Boo Ya!

Boo ya, Christopher.

Incredibly well written, thought provoking and absolutely hilarious.

Been here from the start and you never disappoint.

Thank you so much for sharing your stories, they remind me of the madness and instability that life demands and in a funny way scares the shit out of me.

Looking forward to the next adventure.

Sincerely

Ian.

Hello Ian - thank you for reading and leaving a very touching comment. It remains a mystery to me why these stories can even be funny, and perhaps that's what keeps me going; looking for the moment where that breaks and I might discover something else amidst the drama and indulgence. It's a fools errand mind you, which is at once both reassuring and melancholic. That'll do though, because it has to.

You have to wonder how many junkies did Edward pull that trick on?

Do you think he robbed me? I don't. I think he would have gone wherever I pointed him. he didn't ask me for money I gave it to him. I don't think he had a clue what was going on, I just saw what I wanted to see because I needed to.

It's incredible really that people of a certain generation can still call someone that and both know exactly what it means. Nice one, Liam - appreciated your time.

Brilliant work yet again Mr Dangerfield, I roared with laughter at Edward’s Day Out and Insane Attraction took me on a trip down memory lane. I remember the day after that Blue Peter Episode and how all the kids went crazy doing their ‘Joey’ Impressions (me included) You have managed to turn a sensitive subject into a very warm and touching set of stories, both hilarious and tragic. Great read and keep up the good work.

Excellent - thank you Gayle. And yes, I wanted the title to be pretty brutal, but the content to surprise people because we're all different in our own ways, and some people are just more different than others. Treat them all as individuals and you're probably on the right roads. Good old Edward.

Fantastic work here, again! Joey fucking Deacon, hahahaha there's a blast from the past!

Edward with the bin trail following him from his shoe was quite moving, what he left in the bag said it all, really, for me anyway, probably had no idea what was going on?

Another great read, bruva! Thank you!

Thank you, John - and yes - I'm with you. I don't think Edward had a clue what I was doing or what was going on. Going on what the police said, the house he went to was a family member. I was desperate to find something and he kind of fit the profile, but in truth he was just someone who'd escaped his care center and was just walking about.

I've just finished Part One and I had to stop a few times to laugh. Cleverly written with the perfect amount of wit and humor. Very few spastics these days as they all get aborted but back in the day every group friends had one. Looking forward to part deux.

Hello Matt that's interesting, I have never thought about that - I might look into it. In truth the subject fascinates me, and I hope after reading this people will see there was no piss-taking, they were just more people of a particular (if loosely defined) group who I encountered on the way. Thanks for reading, hope Pt 2 pays off for you.

I could see you weren’t being cruel no worries in fact the opposite. I have a true appreciation for anything that makes me laugh and question my moral fibre at the same time....I am right in the head? And so on😅

Yes, it was important to me that it wasn't just laughing at people who don't fit the norm, because that's immature. There's a bit of that in the title I suppose, but the title is marketing and seeks to be questioned in the stories. Thanks for reading it, Matt.

I enjoyed reading seven spastics very much. I especially liked the very short one about the girl with Downs Syndrome. Using fewer words somehow gave it more impact.

Thank you, Emma. Strangely I think I thought about that one the most. I tried to make it a Haiku for about 4 hours until giving up. Then I wrote it in much the same as the rest, then deleted that, then put it back, then re-wrote it, then went through a few version of what's there now.

Hello Mr, sorry, 'King' Corona, in your own time and as you wish. 'Loving it' is lovely to hear. You know what, every time I wrote that, 'Gnea', I heard him say it. In fairness he did nothing wrong. I needed something so desperately I found it where it didn't exist. A lesson, at least. Thanks for reading and leaving a comment.
